Why couples look for a Locket alternative
Locket is excellent at what it does: a quick live photo from a friend, straight onto your Home Screen. Couples who use it together often want something smaller and quieter: one other person, no friends list, and a way to say “thinking of you” that is not another photo of a desk.

What Lovly does differently
- Drawings, not photos. A heart on your lunch break, a moon when it is late where they are. It takes ten seconds and it is unmistakably yours.
- The Lock Screen. Your drawing appears on their Lock Screen widget, so they see it every time they pick up the phone, before they unlock it.
- Only the two of you. No feed, no friends, nothing public.
- Built for distance. It shows your partner’s city and local time, and a drawing sent late can wait for their morning. More in Lovly for long-distance couples.
- No streaks. Nothing resets if you miss a day.
When Locket is still the better pick
If you want photos, or you want your friends on the widget too, stay with Locket. Plenty of couples use both: Locket for the group, Lovly for each other.
How to switch
- Both of you install Lovly from the App Store (iPhone, iOS 17 or later).
- One of you sends the invite link; the other opens it, or types the 8-character code.
- Add the Lovly Canvas widget to your Lock Screen. Step-by-step guide.
- Draw something and tap Send. It appears on their Lock Screen.
